Craven Arts Announces 2026 Make More Music, Proudly Sponsored by Beyondly
Craven Arts House is delighted to announce the launch of its 2026 Make More Music club — a creative programme designed to empower young people aged 11 to 17 to develop their musical skills, confidence, and song writing abilities. Open to musicians of all experience levels, the 10‑week programme will run on Thursday evenings from 7–9pm, beginning 23rd April 2026, and will be led by respected local music coaches Megan Roe and Rosie Blofeld.
As part of the programme, students will also take to the stage at public performances in both Skipton and Ilkley, with confirmed dates on 30th May, 10th July, and 28th August.
This will be the third term of Make More Music, following two successful previous cohorts that helped young people build musical ability, teamwork, and self‑confidence. Co-leader Rosie Blofeld reflected on the impact so far:
“We have so far facilitated some extraordinary talent from young people within the community, and we are enthusiastic to continue building this wonderful programme that provides fully equipped practice spaces and time for the students to be creative. As a result, we hope to keep seeing the local music scene grow as one that bolsters and celebrates young people in their music careers.”
Beyondly are proud to be supporting Craven Arts through our Fund for Change initiative, helping to ensure their Make More Music programme remains free and accessible to young people across the region. Our Fund for Change is a commitment to donating 5% of our net profit to charitable causes and community projects, like Craven Arts, delivering positive impact for society and the environment.
Melanie Harper, Head of Marketing, Brand and Impact at Beyondly adds: "We’re proud to support local charities like Craven Arts through our Fund for Change, backing projects like ‘Make More Music’ that make a real difference in our community. We’re excited to see its impact and hear the incredible music these young musicians will create.”
This year, Craven Arts is also welcoming young people who are curious about music technology, including live sound, lighting, and production roles. Programme leader Meg Roe added:
“The hope is that we can broaden the horizons for young people, as they learn about the rewarding role of being a sound and lighting technician for live events. A great performance is not just made by those on stage, but those behind the scenes, too.”
Applications for the 2026 Make More Music programme are now open via www.cravenarts.co.uk/makemoremusic and will close on Friday 10th April 2026 at midday.
