Product Footprints

Measure the carbon footprint of a product or packaging across its life cycle.

As we see Extended Producer Responsibility implemented across waste streams, understanding the full life cycle and carbon impact of your product and packaging has never been more important. Make informed decisions by understanding your products and packaging carbon footprint.

What is a Product Carbon Footprint (PCF)?

A PCF measures the embodied carbon or greenhouse gas emissions associated with a service, product, or packaging across its life cycle. PCFs measure the global warming potential (GWP) which is reported as kilogram of carbon dioxide equivalent (kg CO2eq).

What is a Life Cycle Assessment (LCA)?

A LCA measures both the GWP and a range of other environmental impacts of a service, product, or packaging across its life cycle. Environmental impact can be measured through several indicators like water usage, land usage, human toxicity, eutrophication, and ecotoxicity (and many more).

Life Cycle Assessment

An LCA measures the full impact of your product throughout its life cycle considering raw material extraction, production, distribution, use-phase, and end-of-life. Beyondly provide guidance collating comprehensive data inventories prioritising primary data and, where not available, secondary datasets. An LCA considers a range of human and environment indicators to provide a well-rounded view of your product’s environmental impact. Beyondly deliver LCAs in compliance with ISO 14044 and 14040.

Why does it matter and where to begin!

The climate crisis has led to increased demand on companies to assess and improve their environmental performance. Pressure comes from all stakeholders; investors, government, customers, employees, and the public. Therefore, in order to continue meeting expectations and grow as a business, it is crucial to develop and implement robust sustainability strategies.

The world of sustainability is complex, and with evolving demands and sustainability jargon it can be difficult to know where to start.  An additional challenge is that it can vary for every business, with the need to consider specifics for your industry and business model. This is where Beyondly's sustainability strategy can be tailored to your specific business, allowing you to excel in your industry and where it counts for you.

A sustainability strategy can help businesses create long-term benefits for their employees and business while ensuring they have a positive impact on the environment.

It's time to prepare for the future and embrace the demands of your stakeholders.
